Late-Night TV Music (One of Those Days Edition) | Jan. 8, 2020

I’ve been having one of those days since before my day even started. I woke up in the middle of this annoying recurring dream I have — I’m trying to find my way out of some giant maze-like building complex but just end up getting more and more lost (what that undoubtedly says about my life is way too depressingly obvious to discuss further). Then I had to deal with some pointless silliness over a video somebody asked me to write about without realizing they weren’t supposed to send it to me, so the artist’s management were flipping out and blah blah blah — as if anybody anywhere really gives two shits about where they see the latest video by some meagerly talented U.K. singer-songwriter with two first names. And as soon as I finish writing this, I have to go out and shovel snow. All of which is a long way of saying 1 | That’s why this post is so late, and 2 | I’m too ticked to say much beyond the fact that you have two options: Night Sweats singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff performing the moody title track from his upcoming solo album And It’s Still Alright on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, or popster Shaed presenting her single Trampoline on Late Night with Seth Meyers. I could have also included a clip of Dua Lipa on today’s episode of Ellen, but today is already shitty enough. See you at the other end of the shovel.
