If you spent any time lurking around these parts in 2022, you probably came across a column or review by Area Resident. And you were undoubtedly as impressed as I am by the quality and quantity of his work. The Ottawa indie-rock polymath, record collector, music nerd and full-time journalist became Tinnitist’s first outside columnist back in January, and quickly became an integral part of the site, thanks to his encyclopedic knowledge, deep shelves and love for beloved old formats like quad and 8-track.
