Classic Album Review: Strapping Young Lad | Alien

This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Vancouver metal maniac Devin Townsend returns with another massive missive of fever-dream insanity, brain-squishing intensity and take-no-prisoners extremity from his unstoppable outfit Strapping Young Lad. Much like its filmic namesake, Alien will rip your face off before you know what hit you.
