Classic Album Review: Scott H. Biram | Dirty Old One Man Band

This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Start with the hypnotic blues-stomp hoodoo of John Lee Hooker.

Add the white-boy grit and firepower of George Thorogood and Mojo Nixon, along with dashes of bluegrass and Captain Beefheart. Now stir in the unhinged antics of Bob Log III and you’ve got Austin singer-guitarist Scott H. Biram, an old-school bluesmaniac with an insatiable appetite for wimmin, whiskey, chicken and raisin’ hell. Lawd have mercy.
