Yes, pulverizing beats, frenzied guitars and demon-vomit vocals are death-metal cliches. But Suffocation invented them. And with this comeback CD — their first in nearly a decade — this New York quintet continue to wield them with more intimidating power and skill than the legion of imitators they spawned.
