Classic Album Review: State of Shock | Guilty By Association

The Vancouver rockers present a combo platter of musical and visual cliches.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Backward baseball caps and black T-shirts, detuned nü-metal guitar riffs and grinding bass lines, chest-pounding vocals and arena-rock anthems nicked from Nickelback. If that combo platter of cliches puts you in a state of shock, you too can feel guilty by association when the Vancouver rockers come to your town.
