Classic DVD Review: John Lennon | Lennon Legend: The Very Best of

A few rare clips make this a worthwhile purchase for fans of the slain Beatle.

This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

This video collection for slain Beatles singer-guitarist John Lennon is mostly stuff you’ve seen: John playing Imagine on that white grand piano; him and Yoko strolling Central Park in Woman; the pair of them leading a bed-in jam on Give Peace A Chance. The bits you haven’t seen, though — like the 1975 studio footage of Slippin’ & Slidin’ and the live version of Imagine from the same year — are what makes Lennon Legend worth the money for fans. If you happen to know any, of course.
