Gracie Jet moves to the music with her energetic new pop-rocker Sway — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
The lead single from the U.K.-born, Ontario-based singer-songwriter’s upcoming album, Sway is a cathartic anthem to youthful rebellion and the power of music. “It’s a love letter to the girl I used to be,” she explains. “I was in a time of my life where I was lacking purpose, always surrounded by people yet feeling profoundly alone.”
Jet draws in audiences quickly with her unique, soulful voice, while her piano-driven pop invites comparisons to big names like Adele and other strong female vocalists. Jet sings about conventional themes like love and relationships, but also includes heartbreaking scenes from what she witnessed during the pandemic, when she was a nurse. She’s spent years making her rounds through the Owen Sound bar scene, singing covers of The Beatles, Sheryl Crow, Tracy Chapman and others.
