LVCRFT Want To Hear You Scream

The spooky supergroup share the first single from their upcoming album V.

LVCRFT get an early start on the spooky season with their hair-raising new single Scream (For Halloween) — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

As autumn approaches and Halloween whispers emerge, the spooky songwriting collective have announced their fifth album, fittingly titled V and slated for release on Sept. 29. Fresh off a stellar weekend at Midsummer Scream, the group offer a taste of what’s to come with the first single Scream (For Halloween), a collaboration with The Remains theat hints at a season packed with all the horrifying hits and eerie escapades you’d expect from a collective whose mantra is “Spooky never sleeps.”

Scream (For Halloween) captivated audiences at Midsummer Scream — the world’s top Halloween convention — with LVCRFT emcee Skeleton Sam leaving an indelible mark. In line with their penchant for immersive experiences, LVCRFT invited attendees to record themselves screaming at their booth, which they plan to use to create the world’s largest archive of screaming sounds in the world.

Following their 2022 contribution to the film Hocus Pocus 2 — which made LVCRFT’s tune Skeleton Sam the No. 8 most-Shazam’d song in the U.S. — and their collaboration with horror-film composer Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Deliver Us from Evil, Pet Semetary) on their fourth album Scream Warriors, V chronicles Skeleton Sam’s mission to rescue his long-lost love Serafina. Alongside the album, the group will release a short film in episodic chunks to explore the lore of the LVCRFT universe in a ‘found footage’ style.

LVCRFT are the sinister spawn of spooky-obsessed hitmakers who create a year-round supply of creepy pop bops to keep bones tapping well beyond Halloween. The combo includes Evan “Kidd” Bogart (Beyonce’s Halo, Rhianna’s SOS), Amanda “MNDR” Warner (Mark Ronson’s Bang Bang Bang, Flume’s Like Water) and Peter Wade (Jennifer Lopez, Martin Solveig, Flume). While LVCRFT maintain anonymity with pseudonyms like Lil Punkin, Norman Crates and Scary Ana Grande, their day jobs have seen them concoct records for Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Madonna, Lizzo, Charli XCX, Mariah Carey, Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue and more.

LVCRFT first made waves in 2019, when their single Skeleton Sam became a cult hit. Their music has since yielded paranormal partnerships with the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Adam Sandler’s Hubie Halloween, Anna Paquin’s Flack, the L-Word’s Halloween Special, Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween and more.
