This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
These Louisiana cowpunks have been straddling the fence between hard-drinking roots and two-fisted rock for nearly two decades. If you haven’t heard them before — and I’m betting you haven’t — this 20-track compilation from Jello Biafra’s Alternative Tentacles label makes a fine howdya-do.
FIRST RELEASED: 1986 – 2005.
HIGHLIGHTS: Hell-bent-for-leather tracks like Johnny Ace, Rattletrap and the punkabilly raver DMZ get the job done, though you gotta give it up for a song called Locked Inside A Liquor Store.
EXTRAS! EXTRAS! A new version of their classic single (and Let’s Go To The Hop ripoff) Let’s Go Smoke Some Pot.
