Ohio singer-guitarist Jason Molina spent most of the last decade earning comparisons to Neil Young with the solemn troubadourism of his Songs: Ohia project.
On this live set with his new outfit Magnolia Electric Co. — named after his final S:O album — Molina cranks it up a notch, delivering a slate of lumbering, epic-length roots-rockers that are sure to inspire comparison to a vastly different entity: Young and Crazy Horse. Long may he run.
