Classic Album Review: Various Artists | Shall We Dance? Soundtrack

If some of these hip-swivelling gems don't move you, check your pulse.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Maybe the sight of Richard Gere and J. Lo doing the tango doesn’t move you. Fair enough.

But if the sensuality of Gotan Project’s Santa Maria, the sauciness of Jamie Cullum’s I Could Have Danced All Night, the seductive swirl of Pussycat DollsSway, the Latin grooves of Gizelle D’Cole and Pilar Montenegro’s title cut and the hip-hop bounce of Mya’s cover of Let’s Dance don’t get hips swivelling, you may want to check your pulse.
