THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “Witch Fingers continue to preview their new music by sharing the single i-Candy. The second of their new offerings since last year’s landmark LP Data Doom, today’s track kicks off with a synth-induced groove that turns into full-on relentless riffs, soundtracking an objectified robot’s vengeance.
“Bleeps and bloops tightly wound around a precise dystopian punk nodder, these were the magic digits we needed to punch in to bring i-Candy to life,” the band explain. “This was one of the first songs to emerge from the incubator of recent demos. i-Candy is a female sex robot, she isn’t programmed for any man’s need; she’s out to clean up the streets and settle the score in blood.”
i-Candy and its predecessor Bonehead are just the first taste of the band’s upcoming new work. Look out for more news on upcoming music, and catch the band live at their headline tour dates and festivals this fall.”
Check out i-Candy and Bonehead below. And hey, if anybody affiliated with the band happens to see this, I’d love to interview them sometime. I tried to set up a chat a couple of years ago, but their publicist at the time was a useless dipshit. So I gave up, because life is too short to deal with imbeciles. Anyway, enjoy:
