Classic Album Review: Spiderbait | Tonight Alright

The co-ed Aussie power trio can grab fans of both The Stooges and The Donnas.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

 


Fuzzed-out, guitar-driven blooz-rawk and garage-punk aren’t exactly in short supply.

But this Aussie power trio give themselves a bit of an edge with their co-ed vocals, meaning they can grab fans of both The Stooges and The Donnas — when their cover of Black Betty isn’t roping in the Ram Jam fans, that is.
