After years of labouring in the angular, abrasive shadow of Sonic Youth, New York post-punk trio Blonde Redhead step into the light with a nuanced, compelling and downright pretty disc swimming with lush orchestral textures, haunting melodies and uncommon originality. No wonder critics and fans are making a big noise about it.
