Bif Naked steps back into the ring with her hard-hitting new album Champion — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
The Canadian rock and punk icon’s first new full-length release in 15 years, Champion was released on the singer-songwriter, author and activist’s birthday, June 15. “I can think of no better gift that I could give to everyone to help me celebrate my birthday,” she says. “June 15th was a response to the overwhelming feelings developed as the record started to take shape, and with the final mixes. graphics, mastering including the new hidden tracks and EDM dance mixes it took on a persona of its own: The Champion.
“Champion just feels so exceptional now, so phenomenal for me, that there would be no better gift I could give to celebrate this time in my life. Sharing Champion serves as a reminder that we can all emerge as champions and rise to our own personal greatness no matter our circumstances and overcome any obstacle, defying all odds. You are all champions.”
The 13-track set features three previously released tracks — Jim, Broke Into Your Car and Rollerdome — rounded out with new compositions and a trio of remixes. “The album in its entirety is an incredibly special body of work for me,” Bif says.
