Classic Album Review: The Free Design | Kites are Fun

If you missed this superb set of baroque-pop back in the day, now's your chance.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

THE SKINNY: The innocently sunny, baroque folk-pop of these siblings was all but ignored in the swinging ’60s. Since then, their albums — especially this irresistible 1967 debut — have become sought-after collectibles.

THE OLDIES: How tunes with titles like Kites Are Fun, Make The Madness Stop and The Proper Ornaments failed to connect with the masses is beyond me.

THE GOODIES: Mono and single versions of two cuts.
