On their studio albums, frontman Raine Maida and his bandmates in Canadian alt-rock vets can come off as annoying and pretentious (at least to my ears). But on their stylish yet powerful concert DVD Live — recorded during a recent Western Canada tour — they thankfully show they can also crank it up and rock out. And let their hair down enough to cover The Cars’ Drive.
