Classic DVD Review: Pearl Jam | Live At The Garden

The Seattle rockers do what they have always done best. No complaints here.

This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

No explosions. No choreography. No Spandex. No wigs (though a couple of the guys could maybe use them). Just two DVDs and three hours of Pearl Jam doing what they have done for years and still do best: Cranking out potent and passionate post-grunge numbers like Even Flow, Betterman and the unitentionally ironic Do The Evolution, along with covers of The Dead BoysSonic Reducer and The Who’s Baba O’Riley. No complaints here. (NOTE: Pearl Jam doesn’t allow anyone else to post their YouTube clips offsite, so you’ll have to go find the official footage from this on your own.)
