THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “Tommy Stinson, a staple in the music world who continues to solidify his premiere space in rock history, announces today that he will be trekking across Eastern Canada this fall! The headlining run will feature support from Pasteur Pappilon, kicking off on Oct. 3 in Fredricton and coming to a close on Oct. 13 in Windsor (full list of dates below).
An undeniably legendary musician who has a celebrated four-decade-plus long career in which he founded and was a lifetime member in The Replacements, was a second-generation ingredient in Guns N’ Roses and served a seven-year tenure with Soul Asylum, Stinson has also led two essential bands of his own — Bash & Pop and Perfect. Apeearing on recordings by Old 97’s, MOTH and BT and playing bass on the Rock Remix of Puff Daddy’s It’s All About the Benjamins, Stinson is always growing and evolving.
His latest venture, Cowboys In The Campfire, is a duo with good pal Chip Roberts and its debut album Wronger is perhaps the most American album the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer has ever made. In plain words, Stinson is a great American musician.
Stinson cannot be mistaken for anything other than one of the ultimate rock and alternative music pioneers and with a musical history as wide as the imagination can spread, these are shows you definitely do not want to miss out on.
