Rick Christian has become a destroyer of worlds in his compelling new goth-industrial single and cinematic video Deranged Machine — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.
Taking up where his previous release In Dreams left off, the Edmonton alternative electro and dark dance artist takes you into deeper and darker terran with his latest release, aiming to provoke your most sinister and darkest thoughts. Reflective and immersive, Deranged Machine finds Christian coming to terms with the dark world that surrounds him and the battles he wages with his own personal demons.
“Life can shape a person negatively — leave you broken, disturbed and prompting you to release your sinister desires without barriers,” Christian explains. “This offering sets out to tap into places of your mind you were not aware of — or have been actively repressing.”
The release takes Christian to the pinnacle of his dark art. Deranged Machine features ethereal and melodic vocals that pierce through the track. The single is powered by its driving industrial beat, mesmerizing synth and alternative sensibilities. Christian seeks new heights in his signature fusion of genres and sonic textures, acknowledging the influence of artists from Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails and Twenty One Pilots to Smashing Pumpkins, Imagine Dragons and Ministry.
The accompanying video packs a visual punch to match the music, delivering a distorted broadcast from a gothic steampunk-like dimension where Christian professes his evolution into something disturbed and unreal, transporting you to sinister realms and planes of existence.
