Now Hear This: Samsara Blues Experiment | End Of Forever

I'm getting caught up on the good albums that have come out lately. Like this one.

THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: Samsara Blues Experiment are a German band who channel their musical forms in extended forays of psychedelic heavy rock. Formed in 2007 by guitarist Christian Peters with second guitarist/actual bassist Hans Eiselt, drummer Thomas Vedder and former bassist Richard Behrens, the Berlin band play a mixture of stoner rock, psychedelic blues, Indian raga, and traditional folk.

Their uniquely organic sound has earned them a reputation as one of the best new bands to rise out of the current heavy rock genre while their live shows are heralded as euphoric jams and cosmic voyages. Extensive touring throughout Europe has put the band on stage with several iconic bands. Not only festivals like Roadburn, Hellfest, Burg Herzberg, Desertfest and Stoned From The Underground, but the United States (when they toured there for the first time, they didn’t even have a record deal), Europe, South and Middle America and, last but not least, Oceania have all witnessed the cosmic grooves and metaphysical energy of SBE’s psychedelic whirlwind.

They have produced four superior studio albums: Long Distance Trip (2010), Revelation & Mystery (2011), Waiting For The Flood (2013) and One With The Universe (2017), along with the concert set At Rockpalast, a strictly limited live recording of their show at Germany´s most famous live rock TV show. They all showcase a playful musical journey blending unique guitars, hypnotic rhythms, retro styled jamming and transcendent hooks in the tradition of classic hard rock.

Their latest release End Of Forever‘s title may have a deeper meaning, as the band have announced they’re going on hiatus after releasing the album. Their statement: “It has been a little quiet around here and maybe it’s about time to step up to face the change and the challenges that lie ahead of us. As a collective of individuals who played in Samsara Blues Experiment for the last decade, our paths will divide from here for a while.

“After more than 12 years with this band project, and a manifold of experiences it’s also just the sign of times that lead to the inevitable … and as you may know for yourselves a lot can change within a personality in the course of such a long time. Yet we still have a last studio album to offer to you which has already been recorded and is merely waiting to be printed into shape. For now, thank you for everything, the memories, the stories, the travels, the people we met … it has all been much more than anyone of us had ever expected.”
