This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
THE YEARS: 1983; 1986; 1987.
THE STORY: No, I don’t really remember them either — though the cover of D Is For Dumptruck does seem vaguely familiar from my record-store clerk years. For those who actually do recall the dark and vaguely R.E.M.-ish jangle of these Massachusetts college-rock faves, here are their first three albums, respectfully revamped and reissued by the fine archivists at Rykodisc.
THE GOODIES: A whole bunch of old indie-pop songs you never heard before.
THE EXTRAS: Live versions of a whole bunch of old indie-pop songs you never heard before.
