Anddre & The Reflections bring a unique perspective to indie-folk with their thoughtful and expansive debut EP — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
Boasting an inviting songwriting style that makes you feel right at home — elevated by tastefully rendered arrangements and performances that spotlight the band’s technical prowess and artistic sensibilities — the London, Ont., band are out to revolutionize folk music one synth, saxophone, and six-part harmony at a time.
Their self-titled three-song EP is a kaleidoscope of richly rendered sounds and styles, seamless fusing precise needlepoint guitars, nimbly unobtrusive basslines, understated but irresistible grooves, jazzy saxophones and atmospheric keyboards — all topped with Anddre Mafra‘s warm dusky vocals and intimate, substantial lyrics.
Taking influence and inspiration from a spectrum of artists including Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver and even Sonic Youth, The Reflections’ accessible yet adventurous songs are designed to take you on a journey through all the emotional highs and lows of life. Formed by members from Brazil, Panama, Turkey, and Canada, Anddre & The Reflections draw diverse crowds with their energetic performances and exceptional musicality.
This EP was mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated, Juno-winning engineer Dan Brodbeck, and supported by the London Arts Council Community Arts Investment program in London, ON.
