Classic DVD Review: Danzig | Archive De La Morte

The musclebound metal master recycles a bunch of old videos into a repetitive DVD.

This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

I will say this for musclebound metal midget Glenn Danzig — he’s environmentally friendly.

His latest DVD Archive De La Morte is so loaded down with recycled material it oughta come in a blue bin. This hour-long set essentially consists of six different clips delivered a total 12 different ways — you get three slightly different versions of Dirty Black Summer and It’s Coming Down, two of How the Gods Kill and Bodies, and a couple of single-o clips for Sistinas and Mother. If you worship at Danzig’s black altar, perhaps you’ll be able to keep your finger off the skip button longer than I did. After all, it’s not easy being green, huh Glenn?
