Late-Night TV Music (Thanksgiving Edition) | Nov. 26, 2020

Even Kurt Vile, Haerts & Bad Bunny had to work on the holiday this year.

Normally, most of the American talk show hosts are at home on Thanksgiving Day. This year, I guess they’ve already spent more than enough quality time with their relatives. So most of them were working — and helping to flesh out today’s Late-Night TV Music post.

The best of the bunch: Kurt Vile, who went the extra mile by actually showing up in Late Night with Seth Meyers’ studio to deliver his wonderful acoustic rendition of John Prine’s Speed Of The Sound Of Loneliness. Sticking with the unplugged theme — and the quality family time vibe — were Haerts, who apparently hit the backyard to showcase their song For The Sky on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s YouTube page. Finally, for those who want something a little more upbeat, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon let a (presumably) pre-COVID Bad Bunny play guitar hero during his rendition of the single Yo Visto Asi. Spend some quality time with the one you like best.
