Tinnitist TV | Episode 93: The Courettes

The Danish garage-rock duo talk classic records, old gear, musical mistakes & more.

The Courettes are fabulous. Don’t take my word for it — it basically says so right in their name. And if anything, that’s an understatement. The Danish duo of singer-guitarist Flavia Couri and her drumming husband Martin Couri are an explosive rock pairing who combine garage-rock, girl group pop, Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound, surf music, doo-wop and more into their own signature sonic blend. They’ve already released four albums in Europe, but now they’re setting their sights on North America with the compilation Boom! Dynamite (An Introduction To The Fabulous Courettes). Before packing their bags for their first North American tour dates, the duo Zoomed in from home to talk about their record collections, playing on old gear, leaving mistakes in their music and much more. Enjoy.
