Weekend Mixtape | 222 Songs That Will Teach You A Thing Or Two (Side 11)

My Friday routine:

| Haul my tired old-man carcass out of bed (or off the couch where I’ve been working all night);
| Decide between tea and coffee (depending on 1);
| Read the one and only Serge Bielanko’s dependably great weekly essay and wish I could sling words together half as goddamn beautifully as he does;
| Sigh heavily, gird my loins, open my email and try not to despair;
| Spend several hours wading through 500-1,000+ new missives, saved emails, notifications, reminders, followups and skeevy bullshit to assemble another Weekend Mixtape — while nodding my head in approval at the pearls and rolling my eyes in disgust at the rubbish;
| Try to think of a Mixtape introduction that doesn’t totally suck donkey balls;
| Give up, pull something out of my butt, post the whole sorry mess and be done with it, fer chrissakes;
| Shake my head and wonder what the hell is wrong with me;
| 🍺 — which is also how today’s Tinnitist-approved tracks are tagged. Enjoy.
