“Feels was the first song that I wrote,” Samuel reveals. “(It) is about romance and self-discovery. It tells the story about a guy who experiences true love for the first time. It’s not about love at first sight, or the fancy dates, but rather a growing feeling that gradually grows on him effortlessly and begins to take over his thoughts and eventually life. He is experiencing all of this for the first time and it is completely new to him, which is why it also embodies self-discovery.
“I was inspired by my high school romances and even romantic movies that I’ve watched. I want my listener to know that it is OK to be confused. Sometimes we don’t always realize what a person really means to us, but we should listen to our heart and life is too short to hide our feelings.”
