Late-Night TV Music (Mood Music Edition) | March 16, 2021

Brittany Howard, Sam Smith and Rosé got in touch with their feelings on Tuesday.

We all have our ups and downs. And the Late-Night TV Music world was clearly feeling a little moody on Tuesday, based on today’s submissions.

For me, Brittany Howard topped the list as she sat in Nashville recording studio (and former church) The Sanctuary to deliver her gorgeously intimate acoustic-guitar take on Short and Sweet for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Of course, for a lot of people, the performance of the night might be Sam Smith’s rendition of Kids Again on The Late Late Show With James Corden. I am admittedly not one of those people, but I understand. Just as I’m sure there are a some who were excited to see Blackpink frontwoman Rosé debut her solo number On The Ground on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Hey, I’m not going to tell you who to love. Or how to feel. You do you, you know?
