The Chicks take on Luke Combs in a televised battle of the Nashville stars.

Are you ready for some country? Too bad; that’s what you’re getting. Because that’s all the late-night chat shows had on their musical menu on Thursday. On the plus side (I guess), at least you got to choose between two distinct flavours: The sharp political message of The Chicks‘ resistance anthem March March (from their just-released comeback album Gaslighter), which they showcased on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, or the lighthearted romance of Luke Combs Lovin’ On You — filmed in the middle of a roller rink, to up the sweetness factor yet another notch — which he and his band performed for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Whatever your choice, hopefully it will help you get ready for another Friday at work. if not, well, too bad.
