Daniele Nick | Cosa Faccio Qua
HOME BASE: Italy.
GENRE: Rock.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Daniele Naticchioni (Daniele Nick) began his musical studies at the age of 9 by attending various music schools studying mainly drums and guitar. During the training period he had the opportunity to record a series of records in the studio both as an official band member and as a shift player. The experience gained led him to approach and learn other instrumental knowledge and then move on to a solo project with 24 individual singles of various kinds while having an expressly rock soul. Introspection and the social are the basis of his texts. Represented by the symbolism of the “different”, it carries forward ideals centered on truth, transparency, freedom, social justice and dispassionate love for music. He loves to call himself a mad artist because of his unruliness, totally dragged by art, he embraces the madness of creation.”
Kiol | Polly
HOME BASE: United Kingdom.
GENRE: Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Polly is a song about the eclipse of two souls, crazy sex and passion. It’s about the beginning of a love affair in all its little details, but it’s also about love and distance. When you live far away from your lover, it’s a constant falling in love and moving away, dreaming about the day you will meet again. And God, if the love is true, it’s worth all the pain.”
Just Delayed | A House On The Moon
HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Pop.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Just Delayed is a project created and imagined by Thierry Leduc, its inspired leader. He writes the vast majority of the compositions and puts his troubling and rocky voice at the service of the melodious chords of this work. An atmospheric atmosphere evolving in spectral reverbs; Here a string quartet, there, brass or voice dubbing, and everywhere a delay effect used as a full-fledged instrument, sometimes discreet, sometimes omnipresent, give the La to sumptuous arrangements that came to perfect the whole and lead us to fullness. More than 15 musicians representing three generations from the dynamic Perpignan music scene, participated in the recording of this album with refined compositions. The title of this album, simply composed of three ellipsis, is an invitation to choose your own path, like a crucial decision to be taken on the brink. But in which diverse and varied lives did the leader of this project draw his inspiration to touch our souls as justly? … The video for A House On The Moon was made with artists from five different countries (Indonesia / Belarus / Japan / USA and France) and imagined as a little prince who would visit the Anime world of Miyazaki … When you have little money, you need a lot of ideas.”
This is Not an Elephant | Feathers For Stones
HOME BASE: Germany.
GENRE: Post-Grunge.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “After the split of Munich’s electro-prog-rock outfit Tanertill, guitarist Andreas Krebs kept hammering away at writing riffs and songs. Quickly thereafter he drew both Tanertill bassist Randy M. Salo, Swan Valley Heights singer David Kreisl and drummer Florian Wolf in to complete the band. Landing somewhere between modern progressive and ’90s-inspired heavy grunge, This is Not an Elephant manages to employ a battery of intricate riffing, infectious grooves and soaring melodies. For fans of Tool, Audioslave, Muse, and Karnivool. We just dropped our smashing new single, Feathers for Stones, on Friday June 5th. The first single released since our debut self-titled album from 2019, Feathers for Stones takes a crushingly groovy riff and pairs it with some empassioned, melodic vocals. Be sure and stay to the end, when things really pop off!”
Raphael Comodo | Simi Gold
HOME BASE: Germany / Brazil.
GENRE: Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Berlin-based artist Raphael Comodo from Brazil takes his musical creativity to a new level. He has just released his first EP Simi Gold with his band project Comodo, with three diverse songs. The new project created in collaboration with producer Daniel Hilpert will be presented over the year with four EPs releasing unforgettable songs that makes you want to hear more. The musical genre reflects the zeitgeist: Diverse and undefinable. The first EP gives a sounding impression of what to come. Raphael Comodo’s roots are grounded in the singer-songwriter genre and over the years he developed a desire for more brilliancy, more harmonies and a richer sound. This wish was fulfilled during 2019 by founding his musical project Comodo. All songs for this project were both composed and written by Raphael Comodo during 2019 and 2020. Ultimately those songs were creatively refined and put on tape to a beautiful sound symbiosis with the help of producer and singer-songwriter Daniel Hilpert. Support was given by the vocal experienced singer Lucia Aurich during the production. “The song Simi Gold is a good mood track that invites you to dance and move. The beat, based on Brazilian baile funk, combines the genre with floating synth sounds and powerfully written lyrics, with a hook that stays in the ear. In my opinion it is a perfect summer song.”
Babylones | Annie (pourquoi t’es partie?)
HOME BASE: Canada.
GENRE: Pop.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Babylones just released their EP Le tournesol géant (The Giant Sunflower). It’s composed of four contemporary rock songs. Annie (why did you leave?) is one of the four. Le tournesol géant (The Giant Sunflower) offers intimate access to the introspective, rich and sensitive universe of Babylones. A veritable autobiographical outlet, the EP bears the mark of renewal and addresses the themes of family, dependence, distant love, honesty and above all the search for a certain light that soothes imperfections in life. The short album is directed by Frrançois Lafontaine (Karkwa, Marie-Pierre Athur). The duet, collaborating for now 17 years, decided to realise a short animated documentary to accompany the release. A must see!!”
Christophe Menassier | Melancolic Therapy
HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Classical.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Christophe Menassier is a composer of French film music. He is based in Marseille in the south of France. Melancolic Therapy is taken from the album The Unknown Movie released on April 10, 2020. As the name suggests, the 12 tracks on this album are very cinematic.”
51 Miles Away | Trust
HOME BASE: Germany.
GENRE: Electronic Rock.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “The project was founded in 2010. One half of 51 Miles Away is Andy, the drummer, guitar player, producer. Sven is the vocalist, songwriter and more electronic orientated. We believe that mixing all those parts can deliver great songs. There’s a dark mood in our songs but they always offer a bright spot in their lyrics. Our track Trust has been out for a while but we want to give it more attention again since social media wasn’t that popular when it was first released. It’s a song about hope, faith and equality. Still a ideal tune for the current time.”
