We’re still a few weeks away from 2020, but plenty of artists, labels and publicists are already living in the future — and jockeying for position with upcoming releases. For my money, the best of today’s announcements is Nick of Time, the latest release from retro-popster James Hunter, who’s teaming up with the like-minded old souls at Daptone Records. And if he doesn’t turn your crank, maybe new fare from Caribou, Son Little or even metalhead comic Brian Posehn will. Get a sneak peek of Hunter’s disc above, sample Posehn’s Grandpa Metal below, scroll down to see all of today’s additions, and don’t forget to hit the Upcoming Releases page for the full list of what’s coming down the pipe.
