Late-Night TV Music (One More Time Edition) | Dec. 3, 2019

Burna Boy, Sheryl Crow & Stevie Nicks do double duty on the talk-show circuit.

Nearly all of 2019’s big-name albums have been released, so there’s not a lot of new music out there to promote in late-night TV land. Which means we’re in for a few weeks of performances by artists trying to sell a few more copies of their latest album. Look no further than Tuesday’s offerings. Actually, make that offering: Burna Boy basically had the night to himself with his medley of Collateral Damage and Anybody — two Afro-pop cuts from his July album African Giant — on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. (For those keeping score at home, Beck also turned in a colourful rendition of Uneventful Days on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but it hasn’t been uploaded yet.) So, to give you something else to watch, here are Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks singing Redemption Day from Crow’s latest album Threads on Wednesday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show. Looks like late-night TV isn’t the only place that’s light on new content. Like I’m one to talk.
