Classic Album Review: Mirah | C’Mon Miracle

The gently intense indie-folk singer-songwriter woos you with her magnetic third LP.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Not to be confused with pop queen Mariah or Philly rockers Marah, Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn is a gently intense indie-folk singer-songwriter. And on this subtle third solo disc, her girlish vocals and plucky acoustic guitar are never less than magnetic — especially when bolstered by the contributions of underground cohorts like Calvin Johnson and Phil Elvrum. Go along for the ride.
