Edzi’u Has Been Consumed By This Love

The indie-pop artist drops a new single ahead of the upcoming EP Tunnel Vision.

Edzi’u is being torn apart by the intensity of This Love in their new single and video — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

The first preview of the Tahltan and Tlingit Canadian indie-pop artist’s upcoming EP Tunnel Vision, This Love is deeply romantic and poetic, combining emotive lyrics over dark and haunting synth melodies. As they sing of a love that awakens her primal emotions, Edzi’u creates an honest, addicting and otherworldly sensation. Expressed through lush vocals and light-as-a-feather composition, This Love nonetheless lights a fire within anybody who listens to it.

So will the rest of Tunnel Vision. The four-track EP tackles themes of love, heartbreak and grief. On this deeply sensual and vulnerable ensemble of songs, Edzi’u weaves a vast array of human emotion throughout, enticing listeners with their modern take on ’80s pop, laced with delicate vocals and passionate lyricism.

As the Vancouver singer-songwriter fuses her inspirations of cultural storytelling with ethereal vocals, Edzi’u draws inspiration from their roots and life experience as an Indigenous person, delivering a discography and musicality that is deeply poetic and impactful. Tunnel Vision was preceded by the studio albums Kime Ani (2018) and Potlatch In The Box (2023).
