Maybe May & Living Dead Girl Leave You Terrified

The Mississauga trio & the Peterborough singer send some shivers up your spine.

Maybe May scare up plenty of chills and thrills with the help of Living Dead Girl in their new single and video Terrified — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

Taken from the Mississauga rock trio’s latest EP Type V, the relentlessly heavy Terrified will make a fine addition for your Halloween playlist — while the accompanying video pays homage to classic horror movies like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. Both feature Billboard-charting artist and Peterborough native Living Dead Girl, creating a pairing that will surely send some shivers up your spine.

Produced and engineered by Juno winner Kevin Dietz (Glorious Sons, Alexisonfire), the single was recorded at Toronto’s Union Sound Company and Mississauga’s renowned Metalworks Studios, before being mastered by Noah Mintz (Billy Talent, Death From Above 1979).

Maybe May might have a name that suggests neither here nor there, but rest assured, this trio are very much affirmed in their sound and style no matter the season. Fronted by Demetrius (vocals/guitar), Rian (bass) and Vitaly (drums), their sound draws listeners in by seamlessly blending heavy instrumentation with graceful melodies which provide a rich tapestry for delivering messages of love, loss and betrayal.

The band debuted in 2014 with the EP Eden Project, picking up a nod from Toronto Independent Music Awards for Best Alternative/Indie. After releasing two singles in 2017, they unveiled their sophomore EP Crimes in 2018. The Orange Sessions EP arrived in 2019, followed by Live At The Chapel in 2022. In 2021, the band won a Mississauga Arts Award for Established Music Group.
