Dutchman hit the ground rockin’ with their new double-single release On The Run / Springfield 79 — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
On The Run delivers the magic that vital this band can create with just two chords and an attitude, while Springfield 79 delivers a sonic punch in the form of a guitar-driven instrumental. Taken together, these tracks present the band at the peak of their artistic expression, setting the stage for their next musical chapter.
Dutchman’s story is one of discovery, evolution and dedication. The Delaware band formed in 2017 when Connor Johnson answered an online ad seeking fellow musicians. Dutchman released their first EP A Broken Man’s Life in 2019. The band expanded in 2020 to include guitarist Garrett Gravatt and keyboardist / bassist Franco Solorzano.
The eventful year saw them release two EPs: Dutchman Vol. 1 and 3. This year 2023 finds drummer Wesley Vinton joining the fold as the band put the finishing touches on their upcoming full-length album Roll This In Your Pipe And Smoke It.
Their accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. In July 2022, Dutchman Vol. 3 earned them two nominations for hometown hero awards: Best EP and Best Hard Rock Song for their track Landslide. These nominations confirm the testament of impact Dutchman’s music has made on their community and beyond.
