Classic Album Review: Agent Orange | Sonic Snake Session

The California indie-punks compile their Restless Records catalog into one release.

This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

THE ORIGINAL RELEASE DATES: 1984-1990.

THE BACK STORY: These California indie-punk pioneers put out a handful of classic albums in the ’80s. This two-disc set contains their complete Restless Records output: One studio album, an EP and a live disc that collectively showcase their eclectic sound, which was influenced by everything from surf to metal.

THE GOODIES: The band never had any hits of their own — though they did accuse Offspring of ripping off one of their guitar licks for Come Out And Play.

THE EXTRAS: The briefest of liner notes.
