This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Go figure. We Love You features a cast of Swedish nobodies paying tribute to a British band that worshipped American blues — and somehow, against all odds, getting it right.
From the Cabaret-style decadence of Stefan Sundström’s Down in The Hole to the garage-fuzz nostalgia of Caesar’s Palace’s Get Off Of My Cloud to the dimly lit folk-blues of Johan Lindström’s Play With Fire to Bubble’s galloping reworking of Wild Horses to Winnerback, Dregen and Nord’s roots-rock raveup of Dead Flowers to The Concrete’s narcoleptic take on Miss You, We Love You leaves no stylistic stone unturned. What is not to love?
