This came out in 2002 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Frank Zappa is gone. But his music lives on in Banned From Utopia, a gaggle of former FZ sidemen who dust off half a dozen of the maestro’s magnificently complex instrumentals on this CD. Too bad they also toss in some of their own tunes, which are noticeably, um, less magnificent. Hey, there’s a reason some people are sidemen.
