Jeff Gunn has his hands full in the performance video for his new instrumental single Angelicus — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
The latest single from his album Momentum — a collection of eclectic guitar-driven tracks — Angelicus finds the fretboard master flawlessly executing a masterclass in percussive harp harmonics to produce strikingly romantic textures and tones.
Angelicus is an instrumental work that aims to enraptures listeners and transport them to a place of auditory bliss. The song demonstrates Gunn’s abilities as both musician and storyteller, using his guitar to pay tribute to the women in his life and express his gratitude and admiration for their strength.
Momentum was co-produced by guitar maestro Antoine Dufour. The album assembles a group of sensational artists who skillfully lend their talents to an immensely sophisticated group of songs that casual listeners and music aficionados can enjoy. Artists such as drummer Mike Sleath (Shawn Mendes) and sax player Dennis P (Arkells) offer spellbinding performances alongside Gunn. Momentum is a testament to Gunn’s creative vision of producing contemplative music that celebrates all life has to offer.
Gunn co-wrote and co-produced Emmanuel Jal’s Juno-nominated album The Key, and co-wrote Scars with Jal and Nelly Furtado. He has also worked with Bibi McGill, Mark Pellizzer, Kae Sun, Domanique Grant, James Bryan, Rayzak, DMC, Swizz Beatz, Tanika Charles and more. He has performed at Glastonbury, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Ringo Starr’s Birthday Concert at Capitol Records, the United Nations, the Grammy Museum, Jimmy Kimmel’s Annual Italian Festival, and the Dalai Lama One World Concert.
