Bad Skin Have Gone Completely Insane Over You

The Montreal rockers' breakup single has a crush on the ’90s grunge sound.

Bad Skin find the bittersweet spot between sad and pissed off in their breakup single and video Completely Insane — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

Laden with wailing guitars, melodious pop harmonies, and sludgy, driving bass, Completely Insane starts out with a woman reminding her ex: ‘Hey, it’s me / The girl you say you’ll always love.’ But soon, we learn that he’s with someone else – ‘It’s so hard/ To know that you feel for her and not me.’ The leadoff track from the band’s Heartbreaker Tour EP, the cut captures that ’90s grunge-band sound — particularly in the chorus — while the stylish video illustrates the band’s colourful style and dynamic energy.

The Quebec quartet came together after lead singer and rhythm guitarist Dope put a call out back in 2016. It didn’t take much time to recruit Caro (lead guitarist), Aurèly (bass), Christine (drums). With shared passion and conviction, the group began connecting with fans and raising awareness of daily injustices through their songs. Bad Skin were soon signed to Dance Plant Records, who are helping the band become “the best version of themselves and take off on that unbelievable journey.” They are no stranger to the festival circuit, having already added an illustrious catalogue of major shows in their career.
