Late-Night TV Music (Smell The Roses Edition) | March 9, 2022

Wet Leg, Father John Misty & Walk The Moon all delivered the goods on Wednesday.

It’s another one of those days when I’ve got way too much to do and nowhere near enough time to do it. So yeah, I know I’m a little late with this. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t take a minute to share the always-wonderful Wet Leg playfully tearing through their bulletproof hit Chaise Longue (along with the saucy followup single Wet Dream) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. And had they not been on the air, I could just as easily have led with Father John Misty’s performance of his Fred Neil-meets-Kris Kristofferson country cut Goodbye Mr. Blue on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Hell, even Walk The Moon’s ’80s-style synth-pop ditty Heights — as seen on The Late Late Show With James Corden — ain’t too shabby. Sometimes, no matter how swamped you are, you just have to stop and smell the roses, you know?
