Deli Teli | Boumpam

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Surfadelic.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Deli Teli are preaching, with a subtle amount of Mediterannean melodrama, a sensual collective swaying, bright and carefree, on the dancefloors of the rest of the world. Electrifying bouzouki, psychedelic farfisa organ sounds, swaying and frenzied drums and bass, are stirring up songs of the Greek ’60s and ’70s.”

Lonely Old Boy | I’m Gonna Come

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Rock.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Julien Chinot (alias Lonely Old Boy) has recorded a very personal album where all his influences — rock, grunge, blues, stoner and folk — come to mix. The bands that inspire him the most are BRMC, The Black Keys, The Raconteurs, Jack White, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Arctics Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age and others. Despite his eclectic inspirations, the songs on the album have a raw, deep and consistent sound. His voice can go from soft and suave to powerful. He plays all the instruments on the album and all the tracks were recorded in his home studio. His latest single is energetic, with a big rock sound, fuzz guitars and lot of feedback. It’s a little dirty but it sounds good!”

The John Michie Collective | I’ll Write Your Constellation

HOME BASE: United Kingdom.
GENRE: Psychedelia.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:The John Michie Collective is a one-man band from Newcastle whose art explores personality, truth, beauty, inspiration and euphoria in the form of guitar-based psychedelia. John will surely paint a perpetual picture of glistening motion in your mind. In his songwriting, John is predominantly siphoning psych stalwarts including Pink Floyd, The Beatles and The Velvet Underground, with a touch of Lalo Schifrin and Fleetwood Mac, yet in no way does John fail to present an original approach. His debut LP High Vibrations (out Feb. 12), veering from multi-layered instrumentation to sparse drone, is crafted around a punchy, upbeat tempo, which works to display how John is able to accomplish a firmly controlled freak-out. Decadently embellished by the pretty sounds of space, and propelled by a smooth and tranquil baggy beat, John’s low, washed-out vocals retreat among the languid soundscapes, encouraging a wholly atmospheric disposition.”

BeOmega | Voices Calling

HOME BASE: United Kingdom.
GENRE: Space-Rock.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:BeOmega is frontman PT & two sisters. PT is known for being an expert on Vedic science & playing music in nature where he gets responses from crop circles, rainbows, animals, weather. Dub Inc | Maché Bécif (Live Acoustic in Ouagadougou)

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: World.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Dub Inc have toured all over the world for many years, regularly playing in front of tens of thousands of spectators, setting the stage ablaze in the largest European and French festivals, thrilling South American and Indian audiences alike. Blending Reggae, dancehall and world music, Bouchkour and Komlan embody the band’s voices in styles as different as they are complementary. They pass on a universal message, whether the language of their song is French, English or Kabyl (an Algerian language), insisting on how important mixed race and the mixing of styles are. The Saint-Etienne group have never sought mainstream exposure; they went their own way, building their discography with passion, talent, and focus. Perhaps that is why they have been the best ambassadors of French reggae across the globe for 20 years. Their acoustic journey took them to Ouagadougou in 2017. Going to Burkina Faso, the land of upright men, the band wanted to record a version of their song Maché Bécif, which talks about the tolerance and respect we must have for each other’s choices.”

Britta Pejic | Everytime / Forced Perspective

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Rock.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Singer/songwriter Britta Pejic’s career has spanned over two decades — and now she has changed longitudes! Originally from Portland, Maine, she now resides in Basque Country. She finds inspiration in the mundane and spins wildly epic tales (giant onions, America folding in half, etc.) that are set to colorful psychedelic and textural rock and pop. It’s been labeled as ear candy, with codas sung in French, chants sung in Latin, and measures counted in Basque!”

Panem | The Empty Man

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Modern Rock.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “We’re a female-fronted rock band from France. Two girls: Marie on vocals and Emeline on bass, two boys: Mogan on drums and Yacine on guitars and vocals. The name Panem comes from the Latin phrase panem and circenses (bread and circuses). We like to think that we’re telling stories through music. We’re musically open-minded, but we’re not really into long, complex structures. Some people find us to be indie rock, others say post-rock with vocals … So, frankly, we don’t really know. Here is our heaviest song, with a punchy guitar riff, soulful vocals and a catchy chorus. The lyrics deal with the possibility of a new totalitarianism in our societies where freedom and democracy are taken for granted. Recent events are a stark illustration of this.”

Matteo Longbois | Techno Medicament

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Electronica.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Matteo Longbois was born in 2002 in Honfleur, Normandy. One day his father made him listen to David Guetta’s set at the Sensation White Festival in 2006. It was a revelation. Since then he has made electronic music in his own style, inspired by artists such as Daft Punk, Laurant Garnier and Todd Terry. The story of this track: “After a hard day’s work, I wanted to create a musical medicine that frees the body and mind in the space of two minutes: A sonic whirlwind of remarkable density filled with energy and stimulating sounds. This piece is a real journey into an electronic territory of polyrhythmic and hypnotic repetition.”
