Classic Album Review: Ludacris | The Red Light District

The audacious Atlantan remains one of hip-hop’s most lovable louts on his fifth LP.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

For a good time, call Ludacris.

On his fifth CD in six years, the audacious Atlantan remains one of hip-hop’s most lovable louts with his crunked-up, foul-mouthed odes to money, booze, sex and pimping. This 16-track set is hardly his most creatively daring outing — does the world need another Austin Powers rap? — but overall, The Red Light District leaves you satisfied.
