With her fame tick-tocking well beyond the 14-minute mark, the first American Idol tries to reposition herself as a hard-bitten, hard-rocking popster a la Avril — right down to hiring Lavigne collaborator Chantal Kreviazuk to co-pen some tunes. Will fate break her way? Stay tuned!
