Classic Album Review: Gretchen Wilson | Here For The Party Deluxe Edition

The Redneck Woman phenom's debut album gets repackaged for no good reason.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Welcome to the music industry’s newest scam, er, marketing strategy — taking a recent hit album and repackaging it in a “limited edition” set to get fans to shell out all over again for the same songs. This time out, the debut album from Redneck Woman phenom Gretchen Wilson gets a makeover — event though it was released roughly 20 minutes ago.

EXTRAS: No new music — but the disc comes in a book with pictures, and there’s a DVD with some more pictures, a couple of videos and a making-of documentary.
