Freemoor Battles An Addictive Affliction

The Las Vegas modern rocker battles demons in his high-velocity single.

Freemoor sounds the alarm about a deadly Affliction plaguing society in his potent and propulsive new single — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

The Las Vegas modern-rock practitioner swings for the fences with his latest release, unleashing an anthemic ode to both the superstars and everyday people who battle — and sadly fall victim to — their addictions, dependencies and other demons on the daily. A high-voltage, high-velocity missile that straddles the fence between classic and contemporary, it combines a powerful, soulful vibe with an edgy rock sound somewhere between Bad Company and Lenny Kravitz, with a dose of Gary Clark Jr. Driven by a powerful rhythm and burnished with bombastic guitars throughout, it spotlights Freemoor’s bluesy vocals and poetic, pointed lyrics:

“I read the news
I felt the wind that led me to your picture
I read you were born the flame that tried to set it off
I heard you were out to fight to try and save your life
But when your story’s told
It seems they could not get it right
But there’ll be stories told
It’s a chill to follow her affliction
It’s a thrill to lay it on the line
On your knees.”

“There are so many legendary stories regarding the unfortunate demise of many divinely talented people who have graced this earth — only to succumb to their demons and leave far too soon,” Freemoor explains. “Affliction is a tribute to these unique individuals — but also acknowledges everyday people who deal with and suffer from various maladies of the mind and soul. From Amy Winehouse to Marilyn Monroe to more recently Liam Payne, many true and untrue stories are told about these people. They are blamed for things they were not wholly their fault and not recognized for their disease and are unjustly maligned.”

An artist with an eclectic, soulful vibe, Feemoor is a talented bassist and drummer whose influences range from Prince, Queen and Seal to David Bowie and Chris Cornell. His music is a nod to the past while being thoroughly modern. He leads you through a thoughtful journey of emotion while giving the listener an electric charge. He encourages people to be their best authentic selves: Follow your own path and be comfortable with yourself, no matter who you are, is the message shines through in his music.

Affliction was helmed by session guitarist and producer Adrian Andres (Cirque Du Soleil, Maeve) at Mouse Trap Studios in Toronto. Freemoor will debuting the song live in Los Angeles at the Viper Room on Tuesday, Nov. 19. His previous singles include Shine (2024); Jump N (2020); Confess (2019); Alive (2019) and a cover of the Cream classic Sunshine Of Your Love. He is finishing up a debut album due in spring.
