This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Do a teen near you a favour: Trash his New Found Glory CDs and buy him this mighty sophomore disc from Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen and his magnificent Bastards.
Junior oughta dig the buzzsaw guitars, the whiplash beats and the raw guttersnipe passion of these adrenaline-fuelled mosh-pit anthems penned with bandmate Tim Armstrong. And you know he’ll like the cheesecake pix in the CD book. But along the way, he’ll learn what real punk rock sounds like and stands for. Just don’t blame me if the kid goes and gets a forehead tattoo.
